As you know, the Foundation for Education is committed to providing for the continuing long-term needs of Saint Anthony Catholic School. In addition to funding the endowment, we have provided teacher bonuses twice a year, scholarships, financial aid and special educational programs. You have shown our school wonderful support by your participation in our Annual Giving Campaign. In 1926, Saint Anthony School opened its doors with an enrollment of sixty four students and an eye toward the future. In 1997, the two-story Spanish style structure in the heart of Fort Lauderdale was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Throughout its long history, the school has continued to offer students and families unique experiences to grow in wisdom and knowledge before God, reflecting the traditions of the Catholic Faith.
Saint Anthony School today serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The faculty and staff are committed to the pursuit of academic excellence conscious of the intrinsic worth of each student as a child of God.
Saint Anthony School curriculum adheres to the Guide of Elementary Schools prepared by the Archdiocese of Miami. In addition to the core subjects, enrichment studies are offered in a variety of areas including art, music, Spanish, computer science, physical education, communications and math.
Saint Anthony School extra-curricular activities offer opportunities to students for developing athletic ability and appropriate sportsmanship. Students are also encouraged to become involved in activities that expand their knowledge, skills and talents.
Saint Anthony School is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Saint Anthony Foundation for Education is to initiate and oversee programs that fulfill the continuing long-term fundraising needs of Saint Anthony School. We are committed to creating, administering, and providing endowment, scholarships, faculty enhancements and other funds as determined by the board, and in conjunction with our Pastor. We will strive to create a balance with the long-term goals of Saint Anthony School and the overall needs of the church.
